Emerald theme manager installieren

Right click it. There should be 3 dropdown menus. But, only 2 are important for this. Hover your mouse over Select Window Manager and make sure it is on Compiz. Now hover your mouse over Select Window Decorator and select Emerald. Then click Effects on the left hand side of the Compiz window as shown in screenshot above.

You will have to check Window decoration to enable Compiz Window decorations. You should see a lot of Emerald themes. Select one and download it. I strongly recommend saving the Emerald theme to your desktop. I hope you have still got Compiz Fusion Icon on your panel.

If not, go back to Step 2. If so, good. Now you should see what's in the screenshot above except without the themes. Click Import and I hope you remember where you put the Emerald theme file. This is why I recommended saving to desktop, because you know where it is. Double-click the Emerald theme file and it should be in the menu. Now, double-click it and you should see your theme. In order for it to work, select Emerald as your window decorator. As a window decorator, Emerald controls the appearance of your window borders; please see your desktop environment's own theme settings if you wish to change the appearance of things inside windows, such as buttons, menus and scrollbars.

There are quite a few nice themes at Compiz-Themes. Alternatively, you can double-click on the files in a file manager, and Emerald will open the Import dialog. Options Themes Select a theme from the list and your window decorations should change immediately or after reloading Emerald, in some cases. You can edit any theme easily, for instance to change the shadow or title font, but you can also go into more complicated aspects of customization, such as adjusting the colors and opacities, or even replacing the titlebar buttons with your own.
