But then I unbox everything and there are a ton of quality flaws. Dents, dings, sharp pieces sticking out and holes not lined up.

The lower bag assembly is a joke. The only way I was able to get the bag on was to ducktape the bag to the machine then put the clamp on.

The 6" to two 4" connector was so loose I had to duck tape it or else it wouldn't seal. There is no plug on the cord so I cant even see if it runs until I get that done. That was not in the description when I purchased this unit. The tube that came with it had a hole so more tape till I can replace that. I wasnt given enough bolts so I had to buy more to assemble it.

The poles holding the bags up are flimsy and I will need to install a handle connected to the base if I want to move it around the shop. I am VERY disappointed with this unit. Position each of the three separator supports over the base plate attachment holes shown in Figure. With assistance from another person, attach separator to the front and rear supports, as shown in Figure. Do not attach separator to side support until next step. Insert toothed-end of each bag clamp into opening of bag rim, then slide it completely around rim cavity to meet other end see Figure. Toothed Opening Bag Clamp Figure. Securing bag to separator. Run Once the assembly is complete, test run your machine to make sure it runs properly and is ready for regular operation.

The test run consists of verifying the following: 1 The motor powers up and runs correctly, and 2 the safety disabling mechanism on the switch works correctly. Page Designing. There are advantages and disadvantages to both setups. The Always guard against advantage of the mobile system is eliminating the cost of static electric build-up many ducts and fittings. Duct The popularity of plastic duct is due to the fact that it Plastic duct generates is an economical and readily available product. It is also static electrical build-up simple to assemble and easily sealed against air loss.

Duct Flexible hose is generally used for short runs, small shops and at rigid duct-to-tool connections. There are many different types of flex hose on the market today. These are manufactured from materials such as polyethylene, PVC, cloth hose dipped in rubber and even metal, including steel and aluminum. Grounding Since plastic hose is abundant, relatively inexpensive, easily assembled and air tight, it is a very popular material for conveying dust from woodworking machines to the dust collector.

We recommend using flexible hose flex-hose to connect the woodworking machine to the dust collector. Design Decide. Design For most small-to-medium sized shops, you can design and build the dust collection system yourself without hiring engineers or consultants.

We have included some basic information here to get you started on a basic design. Directional changes should be kept to a minimum. The more directional change fittings you use directly Dust.

Size Required. CFM increases the overall resistance to airflow. Gradual directional changes are more efficient than 2.

Size The general rule of thumb for a main line duct is that the Miter velocity of the airflow must not fall below FPM. CFM Branch. To install the drill chuck, do these steps: 1. Clean the drill chuck and spindle with min- eral spirits and follow all safety warnings on the container. You will then need to adjust the motor-to-idler pulley belt tension to com- pensate for this normal stretching. Engage the next available spring-cover lock slot with the locking lug, and hold the spring lock cover tightly against the side of the headstock see Figure Cover Nut 8.

Motor Lock Screw Refer to the speed charts located under the belt guard while following the instructions below. The belt setting in the example in Figure 36 shows the spindle belt in the 1 spindle pulley position and the motor belt in the 7 motor pulley location. Wait until the machine is turned off, unplugged and all working parts have come to a stop before proceeding! To change drill bits and sanding drums, do these steps: 1. The drill press can be converted from drilling operations to sanding operations in just a few steps.

Remove the mandrel nut from the mandrel. Install the sanding drum, sandpaper, and top and bottom mandrel washers on the Bottom Mandrel Insert Washer mandrel, then secure with the mandrel nut, as shown in Figure If you cannot correct a problem, contact Woodstock International, Inc.
