Having trawled the internet looking for a smart, modern e-commerce solution, I thankfully stumbled upon SunShop. Not only do Turnkey Web Tools provide a cheaper alternative to some of the better known alternatives, it also understands the needs of the present day e-commerce site, providing regular updates to keep up…. I received the worst and most untimely support ever. My site was even hacked into and the tech people had no idea how to help. All I heard from them were excuses. I had never encounter a worst scam. Very disappointing to say the least.

My recommendations If a customer refuses to upgrade to the latest version and demands that we patch an older outdated version 3 years old and more of SunShop, there is little that we can do to assist them. I am sure that if our service was truly a "scam" as you state, you would have never used it for so long in the first place. We are always here to assist our customers FREE of any charge when it comes to exploits and cleaning up to ensure that the site is secure again. But when the customer does not wish to upgrade to the latest version to tackle that issue, we cannot be of much help.

This cart has had more than it's share of security issues, SQL injections, credit card numbers stolen and files changed by hackers leaves this software on the bottom of the list.

In the past year most sites running the software have been hacked multiple times. Constant upgrades make the previous versions worthless as the company can not implement fixes to previous versions and users can't always upgrade. With a sea of shopping carts out there, this may not be a worth while investment. Cheap in price and security. Although any publicly available web based software will see it's share of exploits, with SunShop, they are few and far between.

When they do appear, we are always on top of them and release a fix within hours. Also, the reason for releasing updates is to address bugs in previous versions and offer new features. We cannot possibly release patches for every bug in previous versions as that would take a very long time and delay new releases.

We never get complaints such as this that we "release too many updates". Our customers love to see us improve upon our product and we love to implement new feature requests. Great all around! Reviewed by Chris Johnson on Mon, 9th April I have been a customer of Turnkey Web Tools for about 4 years now. I utilize both hosting and their SunShop product. SunShop itself is great and I have never regretted the purchase.

It is easy to use and it requires very little to maintain other than occasional upgrades. As far as their support goes I have never had any issues getting a response from them, I can always count on getting a response to my emails within 2 to 3 business hours normally. The only time I have to wait a little longer for a response is during holidays but that is understood I would imagine.

The decision to use SunShop for my company has been a good one. I know I am not reviewing the hosting here but I got a free year of it with my purchase and I have been with them ever since.
